Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)
CSBG funds are awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services to eligible Community Action Agencies (CAA) and county governments that provide services to low-income individuals and families and network with other local agencies to address poverty issues.
In Nevada, 12 agencies have been designated to receive CSBG funds. These agencies formed the Nevada Community Action Association to network with one another, develop strategic plans to address rural and urban poverty in our state, and provide training opportunities to member agencies.
